881. OH WHAT A SUNRISE

GOD gives life, God takes it away
He is the potter, we are the clay
When I view the last sunset
And cross over the sea
Another sunrise will be waiting for me.

CHORUS

Oh what a sunrise that’s going to be
Death will loose it’s sting
And the grave it’s victory
Then silence will be broken
As the stones are rolled away
I’ll hear the saints of ages singing
What a home coming day.

Time will come for last goodbye
There is a smile, though tears dim the eyes
Death will take us, but only a sleep
In the arms of my Saviour so sweet.
